Have you guys thought if contacting Compulsion Games or Focus Home interactive (the developer and publisher of Contrast)? You could ask for Dawn, the protagonist of Contrast. She could a really unique moveset involving shadows

Also I'd say Shovel Knight but I think others have suggested him too.

Hey, Randall pinged me to bring me over here. I'd tried Bionic Fighters' OUYA alpha so I'm vaguely familiar with the project. Is it now an indie-centric fighter?
Anyway, I'd be open to what Randall suggested about Shady. I'm always looking for other ways to use him outside of my own projects.

steven- Hello bud. We scrapped the Bionic Fighters project, and moved some of our studio's assets over to a new project currently titled Indie Assault. The game focuses on an indie-centric roster, features 'smash bros' like knockback % meters, core mechanics like knocking opponents off stages, and varied online multiplayer modes. So what exactly is Shady? He seems like a running gag similar to Stickman (for programmers) as in Stickman is ubiquitous for programmers drawing progrowess. I think hes a little bit more than that. mMore like his companys mascot. I dunno for sure I just like the character. Gorillas with sunglasses are funny to me, that's why I want Funky kong in Smash.
Has anybody asked for Slender Man yet?

Sorry for getting back to ya mates so late... came down with the flu. Randall's along the right track. Shady's kind of the "mascot" of what I do. He was created 20 years ago though so he does have that nineties "gorilla with sunglasses" flavor like Funky Kong and Thrilla Gorilla but hey, there are more than a few people that told me they think he's cool. Plus the "formal" design Lab Zero did with him for Skullgirls is pretty slick, innit? In my downtime, I did do a bit of thinking of who I personally would like to see make it "in". I've done some networking with other indie devs, and my primary area of merit in gaming is actually voice acting, so some of these I could reach out some feelers for ya if any interest you.

steven- Hello again! Ah, thanks for the clarification. Well at-least, with our title we are primarily targeting indie video games to bring in that game's community to experience that character on a greater scale in Indie Assault. Actually, our team would be highly interested to learn more about the indie game Cuphead. Quincy, loves the character design and feels he would have a place in our title, but we need to see more of the avatar's moveset before we ideally think it would be a mutual benefit for both parties. Is there any way, that you can get the two ( Studio MDRH & Imagination Vent) of our studios in contact with each other? Both myself and Megan would be interested in conversating with them about how they feel their character might be a viable option for a platform fighting game. Best regards, Jared GingerichCEO & Creative Game Director Imagination Vent, LLC

If you have any influence on the game Cuphead, you should try to convince them to bring it to ps4. I need to play that game and I don't have an Xbox one

You guys need I get some representation from Amaniya Design. They are my favorite indie studio! Ps I really want cuphead in the game I've got my contact out to the Cuphead devs. It's "fingers crossed" at this moment. Sadly of all of those that I listed, I probably have least 'pull' with them RE: Slender Man (because I just now saw the mention of him as a suggestion) This is a tangled web, as he's not a video game character, but rather a character who appeared in video games. Right now, the only officially licensed Slender Man game is Slender: The Arrival (and I guess by extension now its prequel, Slender: The Eight Pages?) Due to the licensing agreement between Parsec Productions/Blue Isle and Eric Knudsen (aka Victor Surge, creator of Slender Man), there might not be any way to legit get Slender Man into some game outside of the series. From his DeviantArt: "Just as as a general note. I am not giving out any specific permissions to write stories about Slender Man (apart from for your own pleasure for yourself/friends) for very good reasons that I cannot discuss. April 3rd, 2014: The above is still in effect. Commercial use of this property is not up use or exploitation by any parties without permission. (See section "copyright" on the Wikipedia entry for Slenderman) Thank you for your understanding! Note: This includes movies/television/games, etc."
