-Characters
I would suggest the MVC formula of 4-6 colors and an alt for appearance. A PSASBR approach for victory poses and taunts would be nice.
-Profile
Steam/PS4 versions might as well sync your PSN/Steam ID anyway, so sorta moot point. Just a ranking system of some sort, maybe titles.
-Different main menus on startup
Self explanatory.
Anything else?

LIQUIDFGC- Though, we don't have a different menu on start-up for Bionic Fighters. I do personally prefer it way more than the archaic looking PSABR in-game menu's. P.S. Each character will have a base model in Bionic Fighters with a minimum of 25 color palette variety to choose from. With an additional 2nd alternate outfit in development for each character.

Will each character only have one costume? What if that character has potential to have more than one costume?

nitrohamster- Yes multiple outfits. The studios that permit an alternate outfit for their character will be receiving an alternate outfit!

nitrohamster- Sure, yeah well it also depends upon the support of our next Kickstarter project. We started out with a $75,000 KS goal with double backing which would have ended up being $150,000. Then, recently we relaunched with a $30,004 Kickstarter goal with double backing from OUYA which would have resulted in $60,008 towards development. My team is spit balling going back in October with a $27,000 and that is not even close to make the game I had initially envisioned Bionic Fighters to be...

Is the menu going to be like the one in the video? It didn't look very quick to access things unfortunately, but it was different. 25 palette minimum is awesome though. I wouldn't take any less than what you think will help the game become what it should be tbh. The game wouldn't be up to par and it won't sell well because of that. Someone with a marketing background might be a good idea for the team. People will buy anything if you market it correctly and it should help a ton for the next Kickstarter.

maxfalcon- Nope! Kyrodo really cleaned the menu and maintained that same style that I was wanting, while also making the menu more streamlined to get to the action faster!!!!!!!! Thank you; I had tried to increase the player's immersion at all times... Great, you are very welcome. BrianW has been doing a great job with designing additional color palates for the characters by adding a 5 color variation to them and enabling each of the 5 colors to have 5 different brighter/ darker shades to truly make each of the fighters unique. * Witnessed, in the WIP character select screen. Chuckles, ow. Actually, I am also the marketing strategist for Imagination Vent, LLC (hello other hat ). Well definitely be going barrels flying with the next campaign, hopefully with approval from another respected developer in the industry Lord willing.
