It's great and all to have a nice game going, but there will always be people who will want to spice up their games. This could be done through game modifiers. Game modifiers change portions of the gameplay without modifying the objectives of the game modes. Here are my ideas: - Time limit: The amount of time required for accomplishing the game mode's objective
- Special moves: Enables/disables special moves
- Play x rounds: Plays x rounds in a row
- Scoring type: How players should be ranked.
- Classic scoring: Players are ranked based on how well they do in the game.
- Accumulative scoring: Player with the most points after x rounds wins.
- Elimination scoring: Plays x rounds or until only one player remains. After each round, the least-scoring player of each game is removed from the player list. Rankings are determined by rounds survived. If more than one player remain, then the remaining players are scored by Classic scoring.
[li]Items: A menu that sets which item(s) are enabled/disabled. There are convenient buttons that can disable/enable ALL items.[/li][/ul]

From the Game Modes thread: Some off the wall ideas The Floor is lava: standing still longer than ( )seconds starts to deal increasing damage to the character. Hot Potato: normal attacks done by players are reduced, damage done by items based attacks increased but will explode dealing damage to the player holding them if held over a small variable time limit. Masochist: Damage done to players deals smaller percentage damage to self (might make the players defeat others with more efficient methods, also a bit of a hard mode). I like the Masochist mode, and after a certain number of games like (200 to 300 )games of that mode, that could unlock an in-game extra: weapon, stage, or Achievement.

If we wanted an "easter egg" game modifier we could through in a simple HUD change modifier to make Bionic Fighters resemble the PSABR HUD or a mode/ modifier that only permits combatants to be defeated by a Bionic Smash.

No game is perfect when it's first released, so you guys are probably going to make patches and stuff to fix characters, right? :S How about a mode where you can use a character from past patches/updates? it would be sort of cool... But then again there could be game-breaking glitches and stuff, so I don't really know. Maybe you guys can make something like this happen? I just took this idea from the PSAS forums and threw it here. >_<
