Hey Community, What are your thoughts on the Brand new Mortal Kombat X gameplay footage here?-> Gameplay linkThe game is jaw dropping gorgeous, and I'm very excited to get my hands on the game when it releases next Winter for the PlayStation 4. I do feel, that I'm eager to hear about the game's story mode as that was riveting from their last entry in the series...

It's pretty, and the trailer is badass. But I'm not much of a fan either. ._. I might end up trying it out with some buddies though.

Yeah, the game looks gorgeous running on a end-high PC or PS4 dev build (used at E3). Though, Smash 4 was amazing. Still can't believe that they haven't announced Captain Falcon yet, but I'm interested to start 'main' Zero Suit Samus; I played as her on both versions and with the tweaks and newly added jet boots really make her a solid character to play as.
We are making a lot of progress with Indie Assault, and are looking forward to showing some thrilling new updates off to the community come the beginning of July.

I'm pretty sure Falcon will be kept secret. Him, Ness, and Jigglypuff all were for Brawl. No way they'd get rid of the original 12. So far I'm personally unimpressed by Smash 4. Landing lag looks like poop, no dashdancing, and way too much hitlag (the hitstun isn't bad though). But from what I hear Nintendo is listening at least a little so yay. I can't wait to see what's coming up.

Wow, that is harsh. Though, you and the competitive scene are all in an up-roar saying Smash 4 sucks. I would consider the competitive scene extremely lucky that if the Game Director didn't listen to his fan base the a) The ugly GC controller would be dead and b) there would be a lot less flat stages as they get boring fast if not in a competitive environment (the game is a party game as he continues to go on the record stating). Sounds good, we are making great strides and we are excited to demonstrate the revised Art Direction and Kyrodo 's wonderfully tightened up gameplay to you on either July 2nd or July 3rd!!

To be fair, the competitive scene complains about everything.

I don't think it sucks, but it could certainly use some polish. And from all I hear from the people who went to E3 for Smash Nintendo is listening. So I still have hope. But no, Sakurai doesn't listen to his fans lol. If he does then very little. Smash was designed (he even said) to be played how the players want, but he seems to still be in his "dumb down the game so players who wouldn't notice or use advanced stuff can have a better chance against better players (somehow, idk how. seems easier to JV someone in Brawl than in Melee due to the camptasticness) while competitive players who would notice get the short end of the stick" mentality. We don't mind stages with platforms, just look at Project M's stagelist. All Smash needs is an option to turn off stage hazards. The GC controller isn't ugly to me personally but I feel I can be way more technical with it than any other controller due to the layout and that's all that matters. Not complaining about how Sakurai is and what he does, it's just the state of things. I'm just happy Smash exists at all, but he greatly limits it's potential. That sounds great, I'm getting pretty hyped from all this. Will the stream be recorded and put on YouTube?

maxfalcon- Yes and no. The game felt great to me, and I really don't see where the issue with landing lag is negatively affecting people's opinions on the game. Though, IMO I'm glad that they took the 3DS version back to the shop for fixes, because I seriously felt that version lacking in polish for the control scheme. My hand cramped up while playing competitively on the Smash Run mode and I'm not particular about having my percentage# on the lower half of the screen. You also have to keep in mind that his mindset is for the core Nintendo audience that is presumably younger in-age and also they are an Eastern Developer and from time to time design differently then Western Game Studios do. * YOU can behold the night and day differences in fighting game (ideas, concepts, developments, styles) by directly comparing Mortal Kombat X (Western Developer) to Super Smash Bros Wii U (Eastern Developer). My feeling is that Sakurai is trying to encompass a plethora of age ranges dating back to people in 30's when Mario originally came out to the new younger generations that is experiencing Smash Brothers for the 1st time (that is a lot of emotionally weight to consider/ people to please in that age range). Good, because Stage Hazards require both 3D assets and programming so that sounds good to me!!! Um, well its going to be on Twitch with several different teams. Not sure on that, I'll ask my newly appointed Community Manager and get some feedback for recording it on channels.

Excess landing lag from aerials is bad because it gives too much power to those with the least lag and decreases approach options. If only your ground moves are safe in a game primarily air-based, your approach options are cut down by that much already. I don't like autocancelling for the same reason. It makes approaches and movement too linear, no mix-ups. I can understand the thing about their audience, that makes sense and I respect it, just it's a shame that that same mindset, making games less complicated for players who wouldn't notice anyways, removes one side of the audience when keeping those same techniques in wouldn't change a thing for the casual players. If none of them record it and I'm home I'll record it. :3
