Hi,
The reason I'd even heard of the previous project to begin with, was because of the OUYA alpha demo. I see no mention of Indie Assault coming to OUYA in this form, though. Is there no plan at all for OUYA even though it's probably the most indie-friendly console there is?

Hi steven- No, our studio won't be bringing our title to the OUYA platform. Its literally not powerful enough, and even the best selling game on OUYA TowerFall sold barely around 7,000 units which isn't a proud number for a studio of our size with over 20 active game developers currently putting in time on Indie Assault. Best regards, Jared Gingerich

Well, we are permitted to release on Windows and will likely bring Indie Assault to Steam some months after the PlayStation 4 version has launched.
Edit: I would have to strongly recommend the PlayStation TV version of our tittle. Because the console is the same exact MSRP as the OUYA Android console.

Well I already have an OUYA. But I do have plans to get a PlayStation TV someday. I was just asking because A) the alpha was already there and B) The OUYA needs more 'good' games to balance out the shovelware. Plus the OUYA community is kind of tired of taking one in the face.
I mean if Towerfall "only" sold 7000 Matt still made something like $100,000. From what I remember the PS4 version was 25,000 for a system with more notoriety and install base. Plus the Ascension update just dropped on OUYA so I'm sure it's gonna sell more. Just playing the devil's advocate a bit here.
So what's it all in store for? PS4/Vita/Steam?

steven- A) Yes, we previously added the 'pre-alpha' to the OUYA to gain traction with an old Kickstarter campaign for Bionic Fighters and that didn't work B) Well actually, I think the OUYA should branch out more like how XboxOne was marketed to larger audience, but anywho the system only truly has 1 gem I consider which is: Big Action Mega Fight (although it is also on IOS and Android). ^ Not withholding TowerFall Ascension, but really the definitive version of that game is on the PS4. Actually, Matt Thorn-son publicly made his sales data available which is staggering!!! PlayStation 4 units sold- ~ 450,000 units (that was before the newest patch) Steam units sold- ~ 25,000 units OUYA units sold- ~ 7,000 digital copies @randall- To be honest, Indie Assault isn't planned to release on both the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. Currently, Sony has been exceedingly receptive to our title, and until the funding comes through its up in the air, but decidedly between those 2 major platforms. *** I want my team to fully know our expectations, and building a game from the ground up as a single platform title; you know the in's and out's of what your able to get out of the hardware to make the best experience possible. IE: KillZone 3 for PlayStation 3 well built single platform title

JaredGOh I must've gotten the Steam sales mixed up with the PS4 ones then. I'd say there's more than just a few games I like on Ouya but there really is an overwhelming sea of... the opposite. Anyway, I have something like 20+ consoles so I always try to get games I'm interested in on something I already own. I'm not quick to jump on something else so I figured if it was coming to something I already have access to (Ouya) it'd be to my advantage. Regardless I'm still going to support the project because it's a darn neat idea and I want to see it succeed. @randall Hey now, that's precisely why Ouya *needs* a high profile game. Because it frequently takes abuse even when it's unwarranted.

steven- No worries. Yeah, I know. Going to be putting my OUYA to rest once my Destiny edition PS4 arrives next week, because I was using OUYA quite regularly this summer since my PS3 of 6 years died at the beginning of summer. It was shame that OUYA got rid of the mandatory "Free" requirement with titles as I much enjoyed that. Not really concerned with this, but something tells me you would have been open to throw down $60 at OUYA because like 2 months ago they had a short lived "Season Pass" that included unlimited game downloads for 12 months. *** It was a trial thing, but it sounded smart to increase OUYA's revenue stream ultimately as too many people on there are trying and not buying, lol. Thank you. Our team sincerely appreciates the positive reception. If your online Saturday September 6th at 7 PM PST, we will be having a special Indie Assault Twitch broadcast to catch at-> twitch.tv/imaginationvent/profile@randal- Well OUYA needs to do something better then #FREETHEGAMESFUND. Literally their best Kickstarter catch was Neverending Nightmares and the game website is plastered with Steam all over and saying "TIMED EXCLUSIVITY" on OUYA. Doesn't put much faith in my as a backer for the OUYA...
