Dear Imagination Vent Team, After checking out the gorgeously styled Killer Instinct official "Fight Stick" for XboxOne, I was wondering what the team's thoughts were for offering a limited editon Bionic Fighters Fight Stick as a reward in one of the higher tiers for our Kickstarter campaign? Here is a sample of a "Fight Stick" that works with the Ouya console here->> "Tourny Stick Link"Please provide honest feedback if anyone thinks a higher pledging backer would be interested in an item of this style.

That's a pretty good idea, i see more people getting these fight sticks. It would work well for the game and other fighter games, plus it will have some bad ass Bionic Fighter graphics on it

?: If you were a backer, what sounds more enticing as a reward? A custom Graphic Ouya console or Custom Graphic Bionic Fighters Fight Stick?

hmm, that's a tough one - because i think if those sticks are valued at $100, and there really aren't any other fighting games they will (and should) be playing on the Ouya, Bionic Fighters has to be the a justifiable $100+ game for many people. But then again, chances are if you are backing this game you already have an Ouya and most likely don't want another one lol.
Actually, if gamestop is selling this one for $100, AND it has the Street Fighter name to it, I'm sure that has something to do with the higher price.

I do think a fight stick is a great idea, but for a brawl style game fighters don't typically use a fight stick. What about a Bionic Fighter themed gamepad? If we do decide on a fightstick I know some people who build and modify their own fight sticks.

The custom Ouya console wasn't received very well last time for the Kickstarter so we need to try another gaming hardware avenue, albeit it may be a licensed official Bionic Fighters Game-pad or whatnot...

The problem with making a fightstick is that this sort of game doesn't promote that sort of thing. Smash has always used simplistic inputs - up a, down a, forward b, shield forward, etc.
Fightsticks in particular are to utilize arcade-esque inputs, especially when utilizing special move inputs. If we're using numeric notation for moves, something like 2363214+AB isn't something our game is going to be utilizing frequently, so that really hurts on the "viability" of a fightstick being a good choice for this sort of game.
The other thing that hurts it is that these games were never really seen in arcades, which was something a few fighting game purists and stick users vow by with using sticks. It might be stupid reasoning, sure, but if you're going to invest in a certain market for a product, you need to know what your audience is like.
I don't exactly see it being something a lot of people would really be after, so I can't say it's worth it.

What if we offer a Rare custom Bionic Fighters PS3 controller in one of the higher backer reward categories? The PS3 DualShock 3 is the best undisputed BlueTooth controller, and seems like a great incentive for a 4 player party fighter game.

What about a PS4 Controller, It's new, gives players more incentive. I'm not sure of the customization of the controller though seeing as it has a touch screen.

Too pricey... Nobody would genuinely intend to use a DualShock 4 on an Ouya even the Ouya 2nd generation.

Its more of a nice idea to offer the PS4 DualShock 4, but I don't want to come off as needy in a way to get backers to support us. The PS3 is confirmed capability with the Ouya and also has great battery life, and we can definitely pick one up on Black Friday for next to nothing (wink, wink).
Any other ideas!?

Unless they remake the Game Cube controller I think a custom PS3 controller is really the way to go. Have any ideas for what it may look like yet?

Hmmm! I might now agree with you Philocypher after holding the DualShock 4 in my hands today at BestBuy. That controller is hardware-defining...
Man, that controller felt so good in my hands like the GameCube controller!!

Were you able to confirm if the PS4 controller works with the Ouya?
