I understand. If it's possible, you guys should seriously try to figure out how to animate him because having Steve in your game would definitely boost sales and probably cause more indie companies to want their characters in your game. Maybe you guys can ask Notch how he animated Steve. It's not that we don't know how to animate the character. Its that "Steve" is all blocky and his punch would look the same as like a b-smash or up-tilt. There would seriously be little in the way of visual differentiation between his entire moveset. I think Steve has a lot of moveset potential. He could use his various tools, build things and use red stone. I understand though, but i think he would help tremendously

Thanks so much nitrohamster for sending Ronimo Games about getting one of their characters in Bionic Fighters! TBH, their game Awesomenauts has some super slick character designs that our team would seriously favor to have in the game like: Yuri, Froggy G, and Ayla would be epic crossover characters to have in the game. The last, I heard from their studio was I'll forward this message over to the appropriate departments like 2-ish months ago. Then, crickets since then. Edit: belowzer0- I only just recently reached out to Comcept USA, LLC about licensing Beck for use in Bionic Fighters. So we'll see about their decision. No problem. I hope you can get your hands on one of their characters

I don't know Notch, and I shouldn't base any legitimate opinion on him about his last appearance, but he pulled the plug on the Minecraft - designed movie Kickstarter. Now, I understand that he said the guy NEVER reached out to him before taking his idea and asking for people to give money to an un-licensed Minecraft movie. Though, what does Bionic Fighters have to offer to Minecraft??? Characters from the Megatroid and Freedom Planet have a lot to gain from being in this title, but Steve is like Mr. Hollywood of this game, lol.

belowzer0- Give it time, mate. Licensing doesn't happen overnight by any stretch of the time, and cold calling companies isn't the easiest thing to do in the world. Some companies require having a relationship, via I genuinely feel that Pencil Test Studios would have likely said yes, had I previously been acquainted with their studio and didn't have to cold (email) message them about licensing their super Super popular character Tommynaut. Where as, Modern Intrigues CTO is a good friend of mine, so licensing Gertrude was more of favor then anything...

Ok I was just wondering because it seemed like Gears For Breakfast responded really fast unless you contacted them earlier.

belowzer0- I have got to presume that with Gears for Breakfast is a small studio for one of the studio Director's to have read the email the first day they received it.

Heres a Steve moveset i made. You were right it was hard. I know this doesnt help, but i just felt like making one. I think you should at least contact Notch. Who knows maybe you will get lucky and he will allow Steve to be in
A: Tool Attack: uses which ever tool he has equipped Sword: medium attack speed and medium damage Pickaxe: slower than sword, but stronger Fire Starter: sets opponents/Blocks on fire
A/over: Jab: Very Quick move
A/up: Ender Pearl: throws an ender pearl at an upward angle forward. If it misses an opponent Steve teleports there, if it hits an opponent, the opponent teleports to a random place on the map.
A/down: Enemy Spawn:Throws a Spawn Egg and an enemy spawns in front of Steve 1) skeleton: low health and shoots arrows 2) Creeper: runs forward and explodes 3) Zombie: chase opponents 4) Slime: Jumps around 5) Villager: wonders around aimlessly
Jump, A: Snowball Toss: throws snowballs rapidly forward
Jump, A/over: Damage Potions: throws damage potions
Jump, A/up: Chicken: a chicken spawns and flies above Steve
Jump, A/down: Bucket Toss: Tosses either water or lava which falls downward. Water pushes opponents and causes light damage and lava deals heavy damage, but has no knock back
B: Block Build: can drop blocks and each one has different effects 1) Concrete: sturdy and hard to destroy. Pick axe destroys it quickly, when destroyed it blasts opponents away 2) Wood: able to be burned with fire starter which damages opponents 3) Dirt: somewhat of a dud and grass grows on it if it can stay on the stage long enough 4) ice: easily destroyed but it causes the opponent to slip if they walk on it 5) TNT: rare but when you light it on fire, it causes massive damage
B/over: Bow and Arrow
B/up: Block Build Up: Lays blocks under him and he jumps up after each block laid. Can be used for as long as Steve wants, but it's kind of slow. Creates a wall that can be destroyed. Has great vertical recovery
B/down: Tool Switch: switches between Sword, Pick Axe and Fire Starter
these are just a few ideas. Feel free to make your own moveset if he makes the roster

nitrohamster- Alright! I'll look into personally reaching out to Notch sometime next week. The team will have to really think about this moveset for Steve, I just get this feeling he will be like the "Villager" from Super SMash Bros 4. P.P.S. Kindly post in this thread for ! JaredG be sure to reach out to Heart Machine, Inc. on Monday. Thanks.
