What I mean in this post is to discuss how the marketing/pricing(in my theory) will vary between consoles. And potential ports.
PC/Steam
-My best guess for the pricing across all three versions is 14.99; 9.99 seems a tad low. -Steam versions should have some sort of preorder incentive. The absolute easiest way to do this is Team Fortress 2 promotion items, which could be discussed when this game [actually begins and] is further in development.
PS4
-Pricing does not change. -Preorder incentive should be a worthwhile PS4 related product. Maybe exclusive skins, a background, a theme; for the PS4 there's a lot of options.
OUYA
-OUYA doesn't offer many options for marketing. I'll let someone else think of that.
Potential ports.
While a vague subject at the moment, other consoles will want in on this game IF it does well.
XB1
The lack of fighters on the XB1 makes it a useful game to have in a fighting gamers library.
3DS
Not recommended, will face a lot of competition from Super Smash Bros even months between releases.
Wii U
See 3DS.
PS Vita
Injustice isn't doing much for the Vita, so a worthwhile choice.

Stay focused on the platforms you all have originally planned to release the game on, however, when this game releases, and it is a major success, I would suggest porting it to the PS Vita. It has very solid controls, and a beautiful, multi touch capacitive screen that could add a unique element to this game. That, plus if this game is majorly successful, it can even be a system seller for the PS Vita.

ndukauba- Yeah, if and when we do a PlayStation Vita port maybe something like MK did with taking the gold edition and putting it on there. Something like, Indie Assault: Infamous Edition

LIQUIDFGC- Lol, are you saying that you would like Pre-order incentives or that I want preorder incentives? I haven't heard of a digital only title receiving preorder digital content besides Assassins Creed: Black Flag, but do indie games offer preorder incentives??? I never-heard of such a thing. Now there is Steam Early Access, but that is far left field to exclusive content...

Whether you do it is up to the studio, though, I can't force you.

I'd definitely buy this if if it was in the Wii U as well. When I get one anyways. I think the idea of incentives is a good one especially since most indie developers don't do that, even if they're small things. Steam Early Access can be seen as exclusive content, or at least getting an early peek at the game if nothing extra is given with it and more chances as community feedback, which is still important.

Even if Nintendo is finally trying to boost Smash competitively and if it will have more players (which it definitely will). Besides, it would be nice to have a Smash alternative that I can take around to my friends' houses. And if I'm lucky, and if it is better than Smash, I could take it to tournaments and hopefully convince a couple people to try it out and maybe even like it. I can't take a PC with me as easily as I can a Wii U.

LIQUIDFGC + maxfalcon- We are going to be working really hard to cut down on having to time sink hauling the system to a friends house. Has either of you played Motorstorm Apocalypse before? In that title, the developers added netcode to enable the player at home to synchronize his/ her profile to 2 players and take their (2-Player) game online. We intend to add this same functionality to Indie Assault and it will be covered in the publisher pitch.

That sounds really awesome, but it's not the same as all being in the same house unfortunately. The worst part about PC gaming right here. D:

Sooo you understand Imagination Vent's motto-> " All it takes is clear vision and the acceptance that, sometimes, other people and other companies have better ideas than you do, and that it may just behoove you to replicate instead of innovate."- Microsoft Bill Gates. So basically we replicate on both Smash and PSABR and take their ideal qualities and make one heck of a platform title out of it.

JaredGExactly, one company might start a genre but it can take a different team with another vision to improve upon it. It's happened plenty of times and there's no reason why it can't happen with Indie Assault as well.

@community- Thanks for your patience as the team has been hard at work, and making Indie Assault shine beyond belief. Sometimes, I'm personally impressed at how much we are able to squeeze into Indie Assault considering we are only an indie studio is a huge triumphant for our team as a whole to showcase our unique gifts in bringing this vibrant world to life... Some important notes to consider- - We'll be at IndieCade 2014 with a live 4 player PC build in tow
- Imagination Vent plan to have the final Licensing Agreements in place signed for Sony once they finalize their all in one developer Agreement slated for a finalization of June date; we should be registered as an official developer Lord willing by September
- 17-Bit lead engineer Zach Aikman described the painlessness of porting upcoming 2D shooter Galak-Z to the PlayStation 4 via Unity. According to Aikman the porting process from PC to PS4 took a single day. Keeping this news in mind, then we should easily be able to get a running build onto the PlayStation 4 console in no time since mike is overseeing 3D developments to ensure the game runs at a crisp 60 fps
